It is usually made of HDPE, the mesh size of the netting is small enough to prevent insects from passing through, but still allows for proper air circulation and light transmission.
It can be installed over greenhouses, garden beds, and crops to prevent damage from a wide range of pests, including aphids, whiteflies, thrips, and spider mites.

The insect net was produced by many steps, including the extrusion, weaving, rolling and packing.
Raw material
The raw material of insect net is HDPE. To make the nets more durable, we will add the UV into the materials.
Extrusion
The thread will be extruded by the extrusion machines. All the insect net is produced by mono thread.
weaving
Most of insect net is produced by Sulzer Rutti loom. But some insect net could also be produced by rapier loom.
rolling
The insect net will be divided into small roll of 100m by the rolling machines. it also could be folded during rolling.
packing
The insect net each roll will be put into a plastic bag, and the labels will be put inside together.
shipping
The rolls of insect net will be loaded into the container, which will be shipped to our clients around the world.
How to choose the insect nets

Material
- HDPE - All the insect net is made of HDPE. All of our insect net is made of 100% virgin HDPE.
- UV - To make the insect net more durable, we could add the UV into the raw materials during extrusion.
- Color master - The insect net could be customized in many colors, the quality of colors depends on the quality of color master.
High quality shade nets depend on high quality HDPE, UV, color master and other additives.
The warranty time of normal quality is 3 years. If you have special requirement, you coud talk with us.
Weight
- Warranty time - If you want longer service time, the insect net would be heavier.
- Strength - The heavy duty insect net could withstand the impact of the hail, wind, rain and birds
- Cost - The insect net is heavier, the cost would be higher.
The normal weight of insect net is about 60-130g. 80-120g is the most popular choice in the market.
Mesh size
- Insect size - The mesh size should be small enough to prevent the entry of insects, but large enough to allow air circulation. The ideal mesh size depends on the type of insects you want to keep out.
- Ventilation - The mesh size should allow sufficient air flow for ventilation to avoid excessive humidity, which can lead to disease and plant stress.
- Cost - The mesh size is smaller, the weight would be heavier, so the cost would be higher.

Colors
- Insect - Different insects are attracted to different colors, it is important to choose a color that is not attractive to the insects you are trying to keep out.
- Light conditions - The color of the net can affect the amount of light and heat that pass through it. Darker colors will absorb more heat and may cause the plants to overheat, while lighter colors may not provide enough shade.
- Durability - The darker nets would have a longer service time.
White is the most popular color in the market. Because it reflects light and heat, making it a good option for hot climates.
Width
- Max width in weaving - The max width of the weaving machine is 5.2m. The insect net could be connected together by accessories.
- Sewing - The insect net could be sewed together piece by piece if you don't want to use the accessories.
Length
- Application - The length is up to the end user, the normal length is 100m.
- Weight per roll - The weight of each roll should be lower than 30kg, it is easy in transportation, warehousing and installation.

The normal packing method is to be packed by roll.
To increase the strength of the edge, the edge could be rainforced, and the width also could be customized.
